the new europe weekend june 3 - 5 2011
New things are always popular. We’re always being told that the latest this or the new improved that will improve our lives and transform our futures. They never work though, as borne out by the fact that we’re always being led into the next life-changing innovation... There is a new thing, however, that does deliver. The packaging can appear pretty simple and the delivery can sometimes take us by surprise but we dare not underestimate the earth shattering impact that a new revelation of God’s love can have upon a person, a community or even a nation.
Jesus said, Behold, I am making all things new (Rev 21:5). God is, in fact, always busy with new things. The Rock of Ages, The Ancient of Days is powerfully at work in the earth today, slowly bringing all things together under Christ. Europe is in need of many, many new churches, filled with grace and truth and the presence of the Holy Spirit and God has chosen to bring about this transformation through the lives of ordinary people, filled with the Holy Spirit and called to go. The New Europe weekend is a gathering point for people with a heart or calling to church plant into Europe. Despite the faithful witness of so many, Europe is in much need of a New revelation of God’s love and grace. Jesus is making all things New and the presence of believers, sent by God and served apostolically, will bring this about.
